In that thread on free speech, someone pointed out a flaw in my argument. And you know what? I agreed. After reviewing what he said, I did find that I had made an assumption which I stated as fact, and it needed to be recognized as such. I considered my concession to be something of a step forward, because I tend to be so adamant and blindly sure of my arguments that it often blocks out my ability to properly rationalize.

Also, in the process, I began looking into the idea of relativism. Then from there I discovered that entire libraries of information of philosophy are available online. They will definitely keep my busy for quite some time.
