I haven't been able to figure out why sensible people are often attracted to others entirely unlike themselves. Maybe it has something to do with low standards for others, in the futility of finding that the prospect of meeting a like-minded individual is being overly optimistic and idealistic. Who knows, maybe they're right in believing that...
