I've finally decided that I'll be getting FMR Audio's pair -- the Really Nice Compressor and the Really Nice Preamp. The hardware is purportedly better than their clever names. As soon as I get $700 (unless I can pilfer a better deal off of Mr. Ebay), down the chute it goes...

The wheels have been turning smoothly. Class is pleasant, work's fine. I've been taking a fairly regular dose of music, since the hour and a half bus ride home from school allows for it -- I think I've burned over a two dozen albums within the last couple weeks. I've gone on a recording hiatus, because they've, sonically, grown stale and boring to my ears, and hopefully those purchases will relieve some of the dullness.
