To append my summer to-do's, I'll force myself to listen to stuff that I've been meaning to, mostly stuff that I haven't really 'gotten' yet: Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Scott Walker, Serge Gainsbourg, Billie Holiday, Thelonious Monk (I'm out on the jazz).

I suppose I resolve, in general, to listen to more new (not known to me) music. It's scary only because it takes effort.
