So my bookstore job is really awesome. I don't have to do a lot (ring up people), and I can stand around and organize the highlighters into colored patterns and do crosswords without getting reprimanded. It isn't exciting, but I hardly feel a day's work. I can't really ask for more than that from an entry-level job.

I'm posting this from my new iBook. It's a bit disorienting, after using Windows since I was 5 (quite literally), but I think I will get used to it quickly. I feel naive and powerless, without knowing the nuts-and-bolts of how the OS works like I did in Windows, its messy and byzantine registries, INI files, etc. I could get Windows to work most of the time when something went wrong, but hopefully this change will reduce the overall chance of those occasions to exercise my knowledge.
