and the reality is

there will be no more "forever," unless we are honest and present with the utmost disipline

and even then, it will only get harder as our minds acclimate to permanent dissipation

we already no longer look outside to the mountain range in front of us, but to the next that is unfathomable, and it turns our eyes further inside

and even the plainest action can be made to ring out irresistably, both forward and backward with infinite iterations, no matter how undeserving

faced with that, how can we not immediately crumble into blush?

and how will I know whether it is insinuating itself into my gut, or urging itself out?

so maybe there never was "forever," but whatever was in its place has certainly gotten shorter
